From Passion to Distillation
Originally from Bastogne, Belgium, Inès Fortemps de Loneux discovered her passion for gin while living in Spain, where she was captivated by the rich variety of flavors and the culture surrounding gin. What began as curiosity quickly turned into a deep fascination, she spent her free time researching botanicals, extraction methods, and natural aromas, initially crafting her own homemade cosmetics before turning her focus to spirits.
After returning to Luxembourg in 2018 to pursue a career in finance, Inès continued to cultivate her passion for distillation. Inspired by the country’s exceptional terroir, she decided to take her expertise further by training under a master distiller in France, refining her knowledge and honing her craft. With the support of her family and friends, she took a bold step forward: in 2022, she founded the Distillerie Fortemps de Loneux in Differdange.
Today, Inès is involved in every stage of production, ensuring that each bottle meets the highest standards of authenticity and craftsmanship. She works with seasonal, hand-harvested ingredients, many of which come from her family’s lands, creating spirits that are deeply rooted in both tradition and innovation. Her journey is one of passion, precision, and a relentless pursuit of quality, making Entre Nous a gin that truly invites shared moments and connection.

Located in Differdange, at the crossroads of Belgium, France, and Luxembourg, our distillery embodies the rich heritage of its surroundings. The region, historically shaped by the iron and steel industry, has evolved into a vibrant and dynamic hub, one that values both its past and its future. It is in this spirit of transformation that we created our own distillery, ensuring that every bottle of Entre Nous reflects both authentic craftsmanship and modern expertise.
While craft distilleries remain rare in our region, we made a conscious decision not to delegate our production but instead to master it ourselves. This choice allows us to control every stage of the process - from the careful selection of our still and raw materials to the purity of the water we use. Each batch is meticulously distilled, tasted, and refined until it meets our exacting standards.
Being at the heart of Europe also means embracing a fusion of cultures, techniques, and savoir-faire. We combine traditional distillation methods with cutting-edge technology to create spirits that are both deeply rooted in heritage and forward-looking.
